What’s her obsession with pandemic analogies?
Perhaps it’s her poise or her ice-cold gaze, but there’s something very “old-timey dictator” about Von DerLeyen. She cloaks herself in the flowery utopian language of the Post-War liberal International Order (that is very common among this class of oligarch). However, with a bit of imagination it is easy for us to see her equally as comfortable in grainy black & white video, yelling from a podium in 1930s Germany.
